Have you ever watched children painting and enjoying themselves splashing paint with their fingers? They feel free and love to express themselves, and not worry about the mess. Some parents refer to them as a Child Monet, and this is true! Some of them are very creative! Painting gives you the freedom to express yourself, and bring out the creative side in you.
Well, you don’t have to be child to enjoy that same freedom to express yourself. Channel your inner child and try finger painting. My preferred style of painting is the Impasto style using a palette knife with thick layers of colour. After watching Iris Scott, I attempted to do finger painting. I just loved how I was able to control the strokes, and the amount of paint.
Iris Scott, is one of my favourite Finger-Painting artists and she is based in the USA. I looked her up, and started following her on Instagram. She was born to paint with her fingers because they creatively glide through the canvas. You will be mesmerised with the colours and how she captures the mood in her artworks. Every single painting of hers is a master piece!
Her tutorials are very easy to follow. You can watch her on Youtube and try this yourself.
I also like Cinnamon Cooney as she is quite entertaining.
