The Village Coconut Island Phuket
The Village Coconut Island – Phuket
This privately-owned resort is located on the idyllic Coconut Island. A great location on a private beach overlooking the stunning Phang Nga Bay.

The Resort
The Village offers true luxury and seclusion just 500m off the coast of Phuket, Thailand.
This perfect getaway minutes away from Phuket offers Spacious Suites, Beachfront Views and Excellent Service.
Amenities:
Free WiFi, Gourmet Dining, Breakfast Available, Spa & Wellness Service, Fitness Centre.
Resort Activities:
All planned activities on the resort were free. Yoga, Aqua Aerobics, Sailing, Kayaking, Stand up Paddle Boarding, Water Skiing
Thai Language, bike rides, walks etc.
We took advantage of some of the activities like Yoga, Aqua Aerobics and learning Thai language. These were fun things to do while making friends with other like-minded tourists.
The beach surrounding the resort is not considered a surfing or swimming beach. There was no crashing or rolling waves, the water was not crystal clear.
However, it was great for stand-up paddle boarding, kayaking, canoeing and walking along the beach. You can enjoy complimentary use of the resort’s mountain bikes, kayaks & canoes.
If you are a beach enthusiast, the resort offers complimentary daily excursions to their sister Island across. This is a 5-minute ride to the other side. I believe this white sandy beach is private and most enjoyable.

We booked this holiday through Luxury Escapes and got excellent rates.
We spent 7 nights on this idyllic paradise island and thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

Airlines
Jetstar is the only airline that flies directly to Phuket from Sydney. We had to pay for our seat allocation, food and drinks, music, movies and even a blanket. Water is free!!
All other airlines have stop overs in their hub and makes the journey more than the usual 9 hours.
Arrival Procedure
Arriving at Phuket International Airport our driver was waiting for us.
A friendly cheerful Thai gentleman transported us to the Village Coconut Island Pier. The trip took about 50 minutes.
The check-in process at the Pier Terminal was prompt, and we were ferried to our destination in under 10 minutes.
As we were nearing the resort, we spotted the resort pier walkway that was illuminated with fairy lights. It looked magical and we were instantly excited about waking up the next morning to explore more!!
We were not disappointed when we realised in the dark of the night, we were secretly deposited on to this lush tropical paradise island.
Accommodation
Our Superior room was spacious and comfortable, with an outdoor jacuzzi in the back yard.
There are also 4-bedroom Villas overlooking the beach, complete with their own private pool available for large families.
We upgraded to a Jacuzzi room as it was situated closer to the main dining and pool areas. The rooms further away were cheaper, and guests were transported to dining and beach by a shuttle minibus.
Arriving late at night, we were eager to start off with a good breakfast, as we missed our first dinner. We were not disappointed as a widespread buffet breakfast of Western, European and Asian options awaited us. Dee lee cious!!!
The resort also has conducted tours to other islands, Phi Phi and James Bond Island that include snorkelling and swimming. Travelling to the night market on Saturday or Sunday was surreal!!
The sights, sounds and aromas emanating from the foods was a sensory overload. This is an experience not to be missed.
Trips across to the mainland was free and available 24 hours. Modern Taxis were available on the mainland for hire and were very safe and comfortable.
Dining & Cuisine
The resort has 3 restaurants, 3 pools, a kid’s club with planned activities, a Spa facility, gym, and mini mart selling incidentals
We dined mainly at outdoor Kabang Restaurant overlooking the ocean. There was an Al La Cart Menu and themed buffet dinners.
All the Thai dishes on the menu were delectable and made our choice most difficult. Dining room service was swift, and the food presentation was extremely appealing.
There was a good choice of chicken, lamb, pork, beef and of course lots of fresh seafood. The flavours were delicious and very authentic to the region.
The Cucina restaurant offered similar style dining with an Al La Carte Menu, with emphasis on Italian cuisine. The hand-crafted pizzas coming out of the wood fired pizza oven reminded me of my holiday in Rome.
Live Entertainment and DJ
There was live entertainment most nights. An amazing fire show that lit up the night sky, culminating with a lovely fireworks display. This was very popular with the young kids. The female vocalist was exceptional and kept everyone singing along. Her rendition of Adele’s songs was outstanding!
Resort Spa
The Spa Facility was discretely positioned in the centre of the island surrounded by lush tropical plants and colourful flowers. The manicured gardens and hedges, complete with lily ponds was harmonious. And blended with the timber structure that resembled a Pagoda. There was a living topiary sculpture of a family of elephants that was covered in foliage. This was striking feature and a photo worthy moment.
The individual private treatment rooms were small but intimate. All the rooms were encased by a circular outdoor pool.
Finally, in closing, I cannot speak highly enough of the staff on the Resort. They were always smiling, very friendly, efficient and ever willing to go out of their way to make our holiday a memorable one.
I can highly recommend this resort for a stress-free holiday with all-inclusive food and beverage options, planned activities and bonus inclusions.
