I grew eating spices as a young child. and I believe my very first solid food was potato cooked in Turmeric & Coconut Milk. Turmeric contains Curcumin which is a powerful Anti-Inflammatory that can ease arthritic pain. Recently Turmeric has become a hot topic, and has been hailed as Liquid Gold! Cafes and Restaurants and even Chemists sell everything from beverages, food, Pills and Potions, and even Skincare containing Curcumin. I love the vibrant yellow colour and apart from curries, I try adding Turmeric to Pancakes, hot beverages and even PanaCotta!
Once you acquire a taste for spices, I assure you will never go back to eating bland food. If you have never had spices, then try it in small doses until you get used to it.
